Family Room
This home sold in less than one day for
the "top dollar" asking price! It is an adorable ranch
that was "fine" as it was... but the owners knew that
they wanted the home to be better than just "fine". They
wanted it to stand out above the competition and be the very best
it could be. The small changes made were subtle, but very powerful.
It now looks more spacious, feels open and light, is warmer and
homier and has better traffic flow.

This is a small and often used room
off the living room, kitchen, eating area and hallway (leading
to the bedrooms). While the furniture arrangement is okay for
everyday life, with its large recliner and view to the yard from
the sofa, it is not the best use of the space for showing purposes.
Notice how unbalanced the two chairs are. The placement of the
sofa and recliner makes the room feel small and closed in. The
closed blinds add to the feeling of confinement.

The room now looks and seems twice
as large. Notice how much open space has been created by removing
the recliner... replacing the large end table with a small one...
moving the sofa and small chair... and opening the blinds. Now
there is a totally different look and feel to the space. The family
room is cozy and friendly, while creating light, spaciousness
and open traffic flow to the eating area, kitchen and hallway.
